SPREAD THE WORD

Are you excited about the California Trail? Spread the word! The more our Bay Area community knows about Oakland Zoo and our plans for California Trail, the sooner we will be able to bring grizzlies, eagles, and wolves to Oakland!

Is making a difference in your nature?

Oakland Zoo invests in the Bay Area economy

• California Trail will create hundreds of construction jobs – including “green” jobs, for local residents.

• We will contribute 250 jobs to the community, and will expand that number to 300 by the time California Trail is completed.

• Building California Trail is projected to result in $93 million in total economic benefit for the local and state economy. (East Bay Economic Development Alliance, February 2010)

• We serve a membership of more than 27,000 households from across all nine Bay Area counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Marin, Napa, Sonoma, and Solano.
